The Hungarian News Agency, MTI, released an expert opinion about the possible motives behind the murder of father and son that took place in Tatarszentgyorgy.
The last week, in the small town of Tatarszentgyorgy a someone threw a molotov cocktail on a house owned by a gypsy family. As the occupants escaped from the burning house, a man and his 5 year of son was gunned down by unknown assailants. Police still investigating the case but so far haven't found any evidence about the motives of the crime or the identities of the assailants. These are the meager facts that we know at this moment.
But the lack of evidence didn't prevent the well-respected criminologist to relate a fairy tale story about the tragedy.
He said small groups of belligerent racists, about 3-4 persons in each group criss-crossing the country, looking for gypsies to kill. They pick their targets randomly. The form of attacks includes throwing molotov cocktails on houses and as the occupants escaping from the flames shooting them.
According to the "expert", the chances of catching the criminals are very slim. The crime scene is most of the time devastated by fire making impossible to collect evidence. The only way the criminals could be caught is by chance or if they get into an accident on the road. Or perhaps, if gypsies spot and lynch them.
It is important to make the public aware of the difficulties involved investigating these crimes so that citizens can understand the obstacles involved arresting the criminals.
And the rest is up to the imagination of the reader!
