An unlikely hero emerging from the murderous night that claimed the life of Marian Cozma

Thursday, February 19, 2009

His name is Uros Vilovski (see the picture), one of the teammates of Marian Cozma, Zarko Sesum and Ivan Pesic. According to witnesses, when he saw the gypsies assaulting the people that are trying to help Maria Cozma, he blocked their way. Then, the gypsies turned on him, trying to catch him. This smart but dangerous (heroic) move turned the gypsies' attention from his teammates interrupting the murderous attack.

When the gypsies left, he went back to the disco then he heard Ivan Pesic saying “I was stabbed, help me”. He then pressed the wound of Pesic with his hands to slow the bleeding then lifted him up and took him to the hospital on his back.

According to doctors, this quick action of Uros Vilovski, probably saved the life of Ivan Pesic.

When asked about his heroic act, Uros Vilovski was brief. “I took him to the hospital, that's all and I don't want to talk anymore about this”.

Since, Ivan Pesic has left the hospital and recovering in Croatia. But no one can say for sure whether he can continue his career or not. Before, he has to recover completely that might take many months.
