The annual Trianon march will be held on June 13

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

László Toroczkai calls upon all patriotic Hungarians to come and join to the annual Trianon march at 4.30 pm., on June 13, at the Felvonulási tér, in Budapest. The march had been scheduled a week earlier but sensing provocation from police Toroczkai postponed the event.

The plan of the regime was to provoke clashes between marchers and the police, in order to broadcast the images in the media to manipulate voters behavior and diminish the chances of Jobbik to maximize its vote during the EP election. Toroczkai's strategic move, however, ruined the sinister plan leaving the spin doctors in the lurch as hundreds of police officers waited in Budapest in full riot gear for nothing.

The march, at the earlier date, had been banned by the police citing traffic disruption. This time, according to Toroczkai, about one hundred applications will be presented to the police to congest their bureaucratic structure. But regardless of the decision, the march will go ahead as planned.
