The granddaughter of the Cuban revolutionary leader Ernesto "Che" Guevara posed semi-nude for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to help promote its “Join the vegetarian revolution” campaign starting in October.
PETA approached Lydia Guevara (24) when learned that she was vegetarian said PETA spokesman Michael McGraw.
She poses in a red beret, and bandoliers of baby carrots while standing with one fist on her hip and the other outstretched.
The ad is PETA's first campaign promoting vegetarianism in South America.
"We say the best way to save animals is not to eat them," McGraw said.
