The Hungarian Olympic Committee is on the verge of bankruptcy

The Hungarian Olympic Committee held an emergency meeting with participants representing the entire cross section of Hungarian sport--among them the kayak-canoe, water polo, swimming, fencing, handball, wrestling and gymnastics experts from the most profitable subdivisions of the sport.

The Olympic Committee initiated a meeting with Gordon Bajnai asking him to provide 1.3 billion forints additional funding for the organization, otherwise the Olympic movement won’t be able to survive and carry out its essential function supporting athletes in the coming years.
