Sunday, January 24, 2010

In the Hotel Tisza congress hall, Krisztina Morvai talked in front of 500 hundred supporters about the radical changes, the country needs to close a chapter, in the twisted saga of its newest history, started with the collapse of communism twenty years ago. At the campaign launch, Gyula Zagyva, representing Csongrad county's Number 1 election district and other Jobbik candidates were also present.

Ms. Morvai said, in April we are not only have an election but the election. This is when Hungarians can decide on the future of their country.

All countries have the right for self-determination, something that Hungary hasn't had in the past twenty years. During this period, people didn't have the opportunity to actively influence the policy of their country because a small elite ruled over their lives. All efforts to exercise basic rights have been restricted by the government, either by force or legal means, said Morvai.

“The Hungarian government considers everybody criminal, except the real criminals,” said Morvai.

“If our enemies can divide us, we won't be able to take our country back from those who have stolen from us,” continued Morvai.

Currently, there is a human rights crisis in Hungary, “there are political prisoners in jail and since 2006, numerous demonstrations have been banned or broken up by force for political reasons”.
