According to László Kövér, a Fidesz strong man, a substantial number of Fidesz activists deserted the party and joined to Jobbik. This seems to be a sensitive issue within the party because the activists received specific training, as part of their preparations to carry out per-election assignments.
According to Index, about 500 activists joined Jobbik taking with them campaigning ideas, they acquired at the training sessions. Index reported that the loss of so many activists can have an impact on Fidesz's campaign strategy.
Előd Novák, one of the vice-presidents of Jobbik, said the party had no need to borrow strategies or ideas from other parties because Jobbik election strategy already professional and is among the best.
In reality, the exact the opposite is the case; the bigger parties are the ones that borrowing solutions from Jobbik. He mentioned specifically, a case when Fidesz has taken the Jobbik idea of promoting student exchanges among schools in Hungary and schools in the lost territories.
