Fidesz - Socialist election coalition on the horizon

Friday, February 26, 2010

Socialist strategists raised the possibility of a Fidesz - MSZP coalition, in those districts where Jobbik has a good chance to win seats. This strategy could be implemented, first, in Borsod county where Jobbik is the most popular, among all parties. The county was a socialist stronghold before the economic policy of the socialist regime devastated the area.

According to Népszabadság, a socialist mouthpiece, there is no decision, yet about the proposal, nonetheless, the fact that this possibility came up shows that the socialists seriously considering this option.

The traditional parties are panicking, as Jobbik support grow by leaps and bounds, among the general public.

This is one recent development on the election front, but we can expect, lots more to come as the campaign heats up in the coming weeks.
