The Magyarok Szövetsége (The Alliance of Hungarians) will run a candidate at the next municipal election, on March 28, in Mezőtúr.
The Mezőtúr branch of the MSZ, with the agreement of the national leadership, has nominated László Kovács, the head of the local branch, to seek a seat in the municipal council, on the March 28 election. The campaign team already handed in the required nomination forms and the candidate has been put on the registry list.
One of the goals of the candidate is to shake people up from indifference and engage citizens into community activities said the statement released by the MSZ on its website.
The candidate has only 6 months left to shake people up from apathy and convince well-intentioned residents to join together and work in alliances for a better future.
The MSZ calls upon people to participate in community building projects because the key to long term success is unity that can be achieve only if individuals team up with each other.
