The World Federation of Hungarians held a news conference today, outlining the Federation's plans for the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Trianon Peace Treaty.
The World Federation of Hungarians in a joint effort with the HVIM and the National Bikers Association are planning a mass demonstration, in front of the Trianon palace, in Versailles.
Also among the plans are the release of a Trianon CD collection exposing the historical event took place 90 years ago.
Organizers are planning a statue for Albert Camus that was an ardent supporter of the Hungarian cause after the defeat of the 1956 uprising, until his death.
According to Sándor Rácz, the head of the World Federation of Hungarians, the Trianon peace treaty had nothing to do with the First World War. He quoted from the book of the French journalist Henri Pozzi, a close associate of Clemenceau, the French Prime Minister at the time and a key figure in the Trianon conference. According to Pozzi, Hungary was not only carved up but became a victim of a murderous assault by the background power that planned the outrageous act of carving up the country for many decades. The dismemberment of Hungary was finalized by Freemasons in their Parisian congress, in 1917. (Note: Lajos Kossúth, the leader of the 1848 revolution became a Freemason in exile. In his “Cassandra” letter to the Hungarian leaders, in 1867, he already warned, in somewhat vague terms, about the ongoing plans of the shadowy background power to carve up the country.)
The World Federation of Hungarians are calling on the parliament to make June 4th a national memorial day. The World Federation of Hungarians are asking the churches to ring the bells for five minutes, in the entire country, on June 4th, at 4:32 pm. to remind Hungarians of the tragedy. Organizers are asking the various branches of the Federation to arrange transportation for people wanting to join the demonstration in Versailles.
The organizing committee set up an office in Paris, led by Dr. Tibor Léh lawyer. Hungarians living in France or French citizens sympathetic to the Hungarian cause can get in touch with the office for further information.
The organizing committee will also ask the head of the Museum of Versailles to refurbish the Trianon section of the museum so that it emulates the atmosphere of the period when the treaty was signed.
For the occasion, The World Federation of Hungarians organizing a conference in Kolozsvár, called “Felvidéki üzenet Trianon 90. évében”. The conference will discuss the theme of the book “Felvidék 1914-1920 ” written by Gyula Popély.
