Hungary's Vivien Folláth won women's K1 5000m at the 2010 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Poznan, August 21, 2010.

Folláth Vivien: It was a tough race, tougher than a Marathon. I was nervous because the race started late, I was hungry and at the start, I thought I won't be able to race to the finish line. I calmed down when I saw I was in the top flight. I used all possible tricks I leaned at Marathon races – changing rhythm, position, pushing-shoving, these helped. I've already won gold at a Marathon race, now, I won one at a Canoe Sprint World Championship; I'm happy and I thank my father/coach for helping me in the preparations”. (

3. Anne Rikala Finland 23:07.683
