Demonstration for György Budaházy [Updated]

Monday, September 13, 2010

About one thousand people demonstrated in front of the parliament, today to demand the release of György Budaházy and his fellow political prisoners still in jail.

All speakers, among others Tamás Gaudi Nagy, Krisztina Morvai and György Szilágyi demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners still in jail on fabricated charges.

Jobbik member of parliament, György Szilágyi said the recent changes – that Fidesz members of parliament like to call revolutionary -- could be called that if the political prisoners in jail would have been already replaced by political criminals of the former administration.

Tamás Gaudi Nagy said Jobbik will nominate György Budaházy for the European Council's human rights award.

Krtisztina Morvai said it was outrageous that those judges investigating the Budaházy case that during the 2006 police terror allowed gross violation of human rights by law enforcement agencies.

It is noteworthy that the judge ordering Budaházy's arrest and the prosecutor of the case are old time apparatchiks socialized under the same communist regime as former prime minister Ferenc Gyurcsany.
