Digital Historical Cartography of Europe – an interactive way of learning about history

Sunday, July 3, 2011

“Euratlas - Nüssli is a Swiss business specialist in historical digital cartography.
Our head office: Euratlas-Nüssli, rue du Milieu 30, 1400 Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland
You will find in our stock, the different versions of the Periodical Historical Atlas of Europe, several digitized antique maps and the Euratlas Georeferenced Historical Vector Data covering 2000 years of European history.”

This is a very instructive site. Especially for people having extravagant claims about their history and are teaching fairy tales rather than actual history about their past.

CLICK THIS LINK and visit the map.

Underneath the map you will find a list of countries make up Europe. Click the name of the country you want to view and the map of that country will appear showing the contours of its territory in bold color.

In the left side column, you find the list of the centuries. Click the century entries to see the chosen country's dimension in that period.

Have fun!
