Hun emlékmű a Bajkál-tónál

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

A burját főváros szívében emelt emlékmű a hunokra szeretné irányítani a figyelmet.

Orbán: Hungary is at war with national debt

COSAC meeting: Central Europe needs security guarantees

An economic restructuring has been taking place in Hungary where the debt is an enemy rather than an economic challenge said the prime minister on Monday, at the COSAC meeting.

"Hungary is at war with national debt and she wants to win the war" said the prime minister at the Committee of European Parliament Member States meeting in the National Assembly. Success requires new actions, which might seem unusual even to the European Union said the prime minister.

Viktor Orbán said we have to spell out that the national debt has to be reduced from the current 82 percent level to the range of 70-75 percent over four years. According to Orbán, the European Union needs good strategic relationship with Russia, but if there is no cooperation in Central Europe, it will be difficult to hammer out a strategic compromise between Russia and the EU.

The Prime Minister stressed that Central Europe needs security guarantees. Military security is more less granted, but the region also needs economic security guarantees, particularly in the energy sector. We need north-south roads to be built from the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic Sea. Upstaging Central Europe should be a universal and comprehensive European interest said Viktor Orbán.

Also yesterday, the original bronze plaque commemorating to the heroes of World War I, was unveiled. After decades of neglect the plaque returned to its original position that was installed in the memory of the heroes of World War I.

László Kövér said the plaque commemorating to those who died for the freedom of the country and fought under unimaginable physical and psychological suffering in World War I.

Under socialism the Bolsheviks wanted to re-write history and tried to destroy even the memory of the heroes of World War I said the speaker.

Due to the inventiveness of parliamentary staff the plaque was saved from Bolshevik destruction preserving it to posterity.

The bronze plaque depicts the mythical bird, the Turul, with spreading wings holding a sword protecting the Holy Crown.

Today is the fifth anniversary of the “Öszöd speech” by former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany

Thursday, May 26, 2011

It was five years ago, on 26 May, 2006, when the illegitimate former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany addressed the party faithfuls, in a closed setting, after winning the national election based on lies and massive manipulation of the electorate.

The speech was leaked to the public that in turn triggered the 2006 unrest that the Gyurcsany regime used as a pretext to crackdown on the opposition.

Some of the victims of the 2006 crackdown have been compensated by the Fidesz government but so far, none of the socialist criminals have been brought to justice for their crimes of immense proportions unheard of since the 1956 uprising.

But even today, prominent leaders of the resistance movement are still in jail, among them György Budaházy that the Gyurcsany regime arrested on fabricated charges to create a spectacular terrorist case that later could be used as a pretext to completely eliminate the nationalist opposition.

During the 2006 demonstrations the Gyurcsany regime ordered police to shoot, arrest and torture hundreds of innocent people that rightfully rallied against the lies and disinformation that the socialists employed to win the national election.

These are the infamous lines of Ferenc Gyurcsany's speech that triggered the uprising.

''We lied in the morning, we lied in the evening...We did everything to keep that secret to the end of the electoral campaign.
..We screwed up, big time...No country in Europe has been so blatant. We obviously lied through the past one and a half to two years. And meanwhile, we didn't do a thing for four years -- nothing.''
