PM Viktor Orbán unannounced visit to a homeless shelter

Monday, February 6, 2012

The prime minister visited a homeless shelter in the capital on Sunday without prior notice and without bodyguards to see if adequate care is given to the homeless.

"I haven't announced my visit because I wanted to see the regular conditions of the shelter," said the prime minister to Blikk.

Orbán checked the various facilities of the building including the bathrooms then he visited the bedrooms and talked to residents.

"There is order and security in the shelter. I met a person who was just released from prison and he had nowhere to go. Others came to the shelter because of the extreme cold weather” said the prime minister to Blikk after the visit.
