Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Russia gave green light to Hungarian sheep and goat meat export said Rural Development Minister Sándor Fazekas after meeting Aleksei Saurin the deputy head of Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Department in Moscow on Wednesday.

Sándor Fazekas said overall, Hungarian-Russian bilateral relations are problem-free.

The Hungarian sheep and goat meat export may start as early as the next week, it depends on how much meat Hungarian suppliers can deliver to the Russian market.

The Minister of Rural Development met the purchasing director of the Krasnodar store chain that owns more than five thousand stores and 93 hypermarkets. The company showed serious interest in Hungarian fruit and vegetables products as well.

The company has already agreed to buy 2,000 tons of “Szabolcs” apples from Hungary. The rural development ministry helps finding more markets for Hungarian producers in Russia said the Minister of Rural Development Sándor Fazekas in his second day visit to Moscow.
