Jobbik success in Szakald by-election, in Balmazújváros Fidesz and Jobbik head-to-head

Monday, July 30, 2012

In Szakald by election on Sunday both Jobbik candidates have been elected into the municipal council; in addition, among all running candidates Jobbik representative László Bíró received the most votes. The other winning Jobbik candidate is János Farkas Jr.

In Balmazújváros, independent candidate Győri Erdeiné Csilla won the election, however, Fidesz and Jobbik finished virtually head-to-head behind the winner by winning 23 and 21 percent of the vote.

The election outcome clearly refutes those who are suggesting that Jobbik support in Borsod County is slipping. The result indicates that Jobbik support in Borsod County remains strong, despite the anti-Jobbik propaganda by the media aiming to confuse voters. The by-election result shows that the Hungarian people clearly feel that only a radical party can offer real alternative to the 22 years of globalist rule.

Csanád Szegedi resigns from all his positions in Jobbik

The smear campaign that uses my personal situation to slander Jobbik compelled me to take one of the most difficult decisions of my life writes Szegedi in a statement released to the press.

Since 2003, I have been dedicating all my energies to the party that I consider my own child and to the service of the nation; my today's decision has been motivated by the very same commitment.

Effective immediately, I resign from all my posts and functions in Jobbik. I resign as the head of Jobbik Szerencs organization and as the chairman of Jobbik Borsod-Abaúj-County organization as well as from the National Caucus; to prevent further attacks against Jobbik by enemy forces I pause all my domestic political activities and I continue my work solely as a member of the European Parliament writes Szegedi.

I ask those who are affected by the smear campaign against me to remember me as a person who worked diligently for the nationalist cause rather than what the liberal mainstream media suggests. Remember the “Árpád-striped” flag mission, the “Rovásírás” city sign campaign, the innumerable public forums that I held, the founding of the Hungarian Guard and the numerous demonstrations we have held together. Remember me as an activist that was able to inspire enthusiasm into the national radical camp in the most difficult times of our struggle for recognition.

Although, I feel enormous sadness because of my decision, I will always remember Jobbik as a party that is formed by great Hungarian patriots writes Szegedi.

(Notes: Hey, Csanád! Cheer up! This is not the end of the road. You can always come back later, just stay away from public attention for a few years -- by then, we will live in an altogether different world, anyway. After all, you have done nothing wrong and all the good things you have done during those years far outweigh some of the small mistakes you made in a confusing situation.)

The organizers of Kurultaj want to erect a monument for our ancestor, Attila the Hun

The Turán Foundation wants to erect a large scale monument to King Attila in central Budapest, Hungary. The organization launched a signature campaign to garner support for the project.

Zsolt András Bíró, the chief organizer of Kurultaj said the Hun-Hungarian kinship is an issue, which has scientific and sociocultural significance as well. The Hun-Hungarian kinship needs to be researched as it carries scientifically justifiable elements. But regardless of the outcome of the debate, it is undeniable that the ancient Hungarian history carries elements of consciousness that are based on the theory of the Hungarian-Hun kinship; our history and our chronicles consider King Attila as the founder of the ancient Hungarian dynasty said Bíró.

"We are talking about one of the world's most dominant leaders who redrew the contemporary map of Europe and of power relations, who is resting in Hungarian soil; many distant people (especially in the east) are claiming Attila as their ancestor even if he never even visited most of those countries, yet they erect memorials to him. Even if we wouldn't have anything to do with the great Hun warrior, we should still remember him as he lived most of his life in this country.” said Bíró.

Building a monument would be a gesture to all the people who are also claiming that the Huns are their ancestors. With such a gesture, we could demonstrate our solidarity with those people and pay tribute to our common origin; we must show to the world that we haven't forgotten our cultural roots, our ancient legends and traditions.

"At this point in time, there is a strong support for such a memorial among the Hungarian public. The monument would be also an investment that only increase the prestige of our capital and it would have a beneficial effect on tourism as well," said the head of the Turán Foundation.

Zsolt András Bíró asked all Hungarians who are committed to the spiritual and moral renewal of the country to join the initiative and be part of the project that aims to re-conquer our past. Let's rise to the occasion and be brave enough to realize the dream of many generations -- raise a lasting memorial to one of our history's greatest figures King Attila said the chief organizer of Kurultaj.
