Attacks against ethnic Hungarians in Serbia continue

Monday, February 18, 2013

More then ten Serbian chauvinists assaulted five ethnic Hungarian youth in Szabadka city center in the early hours of Sunday because they spoke Hungarian reporting Pannon RTV.

One attacker carried a screwdriver others brass knuckles. One of the victims suffered injury on his face, the others were kicked and punched.

One of the victims said the street was relatively busy when they were attacked. Serbian bystanders also joined the Serbian gang assaulting the Hungarian youth.

In recent weeks inter-ethnic tension increased in Vajdaság as Serbian police and the judiciary tacitly encouraging Serbian chauvinists by harassing and imprisoning victims and letting the perpetrators off the hook.

I understand your outrage, but this is all old business, no longer relevant to the current struggle. "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." Benjamin Franklin, 1776 A.D.
