The President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy visits Budapest tomorrow

Herman Van Rompuy (Photo: Reuters)

It is never a good sign when the highest priest of a satanist organization visits a country.

According to the prime minister's press chief Bertalan Havasi, PM Viktor Orbán meets Rompuy tomorrow morning then they hold a joint press conference in the Parliament. None of the parties provided more information on the subject of discussion to the press.

(Notes: This is just a guess, but I have the feeling that Herman Van Rompuy's visit has something to do with the pending appointment of the new Governor of the Hungarian National Bank. Former governor András Simor – a dedicated globalist stooge – mandate expired and rumors are that the new Governor of the National Bank will be PM Viktor Orbán's right hand man György Matolcsy, who might not be as compliant as Simor was. Let's wait and see, perhaps at the press conference tomorrow we gonna get more clues about the nature of visit.)

Nice to see citizens are consulted in a democracy ...

The U.S. EU Free Trade Deal Foundation for a New Global Economic Order

The U.S. and EU have agreed to launch negotiations on what would be the world’s largest free trade deal. Such an agreement would be the basis for the creation of an economic NATO and would include trade in goods, services and investment, as well as cover intellectual property rights. There are concerns that the U.S. could use these talks to push the EU to loosen its restrictions on genetically modified crops and foods. In addition, the deal might serve as a backdoor means to implement ACTA which was rejected by the European Parliament last year...
The decision to pursue a free trade deal was based on the recommendations put forth by the High Level Working Group on Jobs and Growth which was created to deepen U.S.-EU economic integration. In their final report, they called on leaders from both sides to, “initiate as soon as possible the formal domestic procedures necessary to launch negotiations on a comprehensive trade and investment agreement.” According to U.S. and EU officials, talks could start in June with the hopes of completing a deal by the end of 2014. The proposed trade pact would include removing import tariffs, dismantling hurdles to trade in goods, services, and investment, as well as harmonizing regulations and standards. It would also cover intellectual property protection and enforcement. This could be used as an opportunity for a backdoor implementation of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA). It was a result of public pressure associated with risks to internet freedom and privacy which lead to ACTA being rejected by the European Parliament in July of 2012. There have already been attempts to use Canada-EU trade negotiations to sneak in parts of ACTA... how U.S.-EU talks, “are aimed at eliminating a list of what multinational corporations call ‘trade irritants’ but the rest of us know as strong food safety, environmental and health safeguards.” ... “U.S. firms want Europe to gut their superior chemical regulation regime, their tougher food safety rules and labeling of genetically modified foods.”... “An EU-U.S. free trade deal would obliterate EU safeguards for health and the environment with regard to genetically modified (GM) crops and foods.” ...“If the new trade agreement goes through, it will be illegal under World Trade Organisation rules for the EU to have a stronger regulatory system for GMOs than the U.S. system.” This is disturbing considering that in many cases, GM foods in the U.S. do not require any special regulatory oversight or safety tests.
It is big business and financial institutions who are pushing this deregulation agenda which threatens health, environmental and food safety standards... likely to include an investor-state dispute process which would give corporations the right to challenge government policies that restrict their profits. A trade agreement between the U.S. and EU is the building blocks for a new global trading system. If you combine NAFTA, the Trans-Pacific Partnership and a U.S,-EU Transatlantic trade deal, you have the makings for a global free trade area.

Corrupt EU Power Elites Challenged in the Wake of Italy Elections

The result of the elections in Italy is shaking the power elite. The mainstream media all over Europe and internationally portray it as a disaster and blame it on the Italian voters. The disaster seems to be that a relatively young movement (not even a party) has emerged as the strongest single force getting 25% of the vote and is refusing to form a coalition with any of the traditional parties resulting in a stalemate. This young movement calls itself the Five Star Movement (Italian: Movimento 5 Stelle, M5S). Their five stars symbolise what they stand for:

- publicly owned water

- sustainable mobility

- development

- connectivity

- environmental protection

The figurehead is the ex-comedian Beppe Grillo. He suggests:

- the traditional parties are corrupt to the core and have to go

- the people should decide whether Italy should stay in the Eurozone

- there must be a law on the conflict of interest (politicians being involved with corporations)

- there should be a “citizen’s wage” for the unemployed

- there should be support for small and medium businesses

- there should be a clamp down on financial speculation and corporate greed

- cuts on health and education should be reversed

Whatever one thinks of the ex-comedian Beppe Grillo and the Five Star Movement, there is a lot in the movement’s message that makes sense to many Italians.

The result of the Italian elections is the tip of an iceberg. The iceberg being the emerging power of the free peoples of Europe. Their number is increasing by the day as they see that austerity does not work and that their national governments and Brussels are not working for them but the international banking cabal. The veils are becoming thinner and the result is that political changes are starting to happen as people start to take action to shape their own future.

The success of the Five Star Movement is just one of the shifts that are taking place, shaking the political landscape...

In Bulgaria, on the 20th of February, the government resigned as a result of massive protests that initially were about soaring electricity prices but which have turned into nationwide demonstrations against the government in general. New elections are due to be held in July.

In Spain mass protests have become permanent. There is not a day when people are not taking to the streets. Youth un-employment is higher than 50%.

In Portugal we also see massive unrest.

In Slovenia there is a national uprising going on amidst corruption scandals. During December 2012 tens of thousands of people hit the streets, occupying central squares in major cities around the country chanting now famous political slogans: “It is enough!; It is over with them, they are done!... They are all crooks!”

In Ireland tens of thousands took to the streets to protest against the austerity policy of the government. Many refuse to pay new taxes and take the banks to court in connection with fraudulent lending practices (mortgages)...

In the UK the UK Independence party (UKIP) is getting stronger with every election...

Catalonia has recently declared itself as a sovereign entity. Plans are to hold a referendum on independence from Spain.

One thing is certain, people all over Europe are sick and tired of the traditional parties and centralised government. The European project of the power elites is in crisis because they lose the people’s trust. Iceland has shown that the stranglehold of money power over people’s needs can be broken. Through unity and mutual respect the non-violent transition of a centrally governed Europe towards truly democratic, sovereign nations becomes a possibility. An association of free peoples of Europe working together and with the rest of the world in solidarity and for mutual benefit is a dream that could become reality.

French colonial war in Mali BY PressTVGlobalNews

An analyst says Britain controls the war in Mali to destabilize North Africa for power and monetary gain in the resource-abundant country. France launched a war in Mali on January 11 under the pretext of halting the advance of fighters who had taken control of the north of the West African country. The United States, Canada, Britain, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark provided support for the move. The French-led war in Mali has caused a serious humanitarian crisis in northern areas of the country and has displaced thousands of people, who now live in deplorable conditions.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Mr. Lawrence Freeman, political analyst of the EIR Africa Desk, Washington, to further discuss the issue. Freeman is joined by Nigel West, an intelligence historian in London.

Greek Military Prepares for Mass Repression

...Greek diplomat Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos ...discussions had taken place between senior Greek politicians and the armed forces on the military’s response to what Chrysanthopoulos described as an “explosion of social unrest” expected to occur “quite soon.” ... any assurances from the Greek military would be worthless ...the “regime of the colonels” seized power in a military coup in 1967 that lasted until 1974...mass austerity in Greece in 2010 there have been constant rumours of coup discussions among high-ranking military personnel...revelation of discussions between politicians and the military on how to respond to the threat of social revolution...Greek ruling circles are working on the assumption that insurrectionary struggles are inevitable because of the intolerable level of suffering they have imposed on the working class...Brutal poverty is a fact of life for millions. One major aspect of the assault on living conditions is the removal of public health provisions...austerity policies demanded by the “troika” (the International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank and European Union), a staggering 4.65 million people are now either unemployed or economically inactive. There are 450,000 households in which no one is employed. Of the 2.6 million people employed in the private sector in 2010, 900,000 have been laid off...23 percent of the population lived below the poverty line in 2012...exponential increase in child poverty, with the rate of families at risk reaching 31 percent in just one year (2010-2011)...salary in the country was cut by 20.6 percent and labour costs for employers decreased by 18.5’s chairman, George Provopoulos, claimed that economic recovery would be achieved by means of austerity and demanded that even harsher measures be imposed. “Now that the finishing line is finally visible,” he said, “we ought to intensify efforts, to quicken our pace to cover the final stretch and ensure that citizens’ sacrifices have not been in vain…”...

In reality, SYRIZA is no less a creature of the ruling elite than the right-wing New Democracy party, and is no less wedded to the austerity agenda. This week, SYRIZA press spokesman Panos Skourletis stated, “We do not have a magic wand that will improve and change the situation from one day to the next… We must realize that with every day this policy is applied, things grow worse. This devastation is incalculable and, therefore, restoration of the repercussions of this policy becomes even more difficult.”

The meaning of such comments—that it is impossible to reverse the austerity programme—is unmistakable. SYRIZA is readying its arguments and preparing for what it will be called on to carry out if it achieves its goal of entering a future anti-working class government.
