Thousands honored the memory of King Mátyás in Kolozsvár - 570 lanterns flew into the sky

Thousands of people gathered in the main square of Kolozsvár Friday night to celebrate the 570th birthday and the 555th anniversary of the coronation of King Mátyás, one of the most revered king of Hungary.

The three-day series of events continue with the "Trei parallel" music concert in the Bánffy Palace and at King Mátyás birthplace on Saturday; on Sunday the celebration continues in the Kolozsmonostor Calvary church with a holy mass; then, the "Lux Aurumque" Csíkszereda chamber choir gives a concert.
