Violents affrontements entre anti-mariage gay... by leparisien
More than a million people demonstrated against the draft law that would allow same sex marriage and adoption of children, on March 24 in the French capital.
Organizers said 1.4 million people marched on the Champs-Élysées and the nearby avenues under pink and blue flags to ask President François Hollande to withdraw the draft law, and to hold a referendum on the subject.
First, police wanted to keep the crowd away from the Champs-Élysées, but they gave up after an hour fighting, so demonstrators could march on Paris' biggest avenue.
As you can see in the video, French police is no better than the Hungarian; they pepper-sprayed indiscriminately everyone including families and children.
The text of the draft law has been voted on February 11 by representatives of the National Assembly; the Sanate will vote on the bill on April 4.
