Trilateral cooperation agreement was signed on Thursday between the Moroccan and the Hungarian Canoe Federations, and the head of the National Sports Centre to develop the North African country's sports facilities.

As part of the Moroccan sports development project Hungarian companies are invited to actively participate in the construction of Nador city's water sports center, which later could function as a training facility for Hungarian athletes as well.

The tripartite agreement was signed by government commissioner László Vígh, and the heads of the Moroccan and the Hungarian Canoe Federations.

The signing ceremony was attended by Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Secretary, Péter Szijjártó who pointed out that the Hungarian Olympic sports are world famous, especially the water sports. Hungarian paddlers won 22 gold, 29 silver and 26 bronze medals in Olympic Games.

"Sport can open doors to economic and international cooperation between countries of divers cultural backgrounds; one of the goals of the Hungarian government is to rebuild bilateral relations with the countries of Africa said Szijjártó.
