Jobbik cancels national holiday celebrations

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Jobbik National Bureau decided that the scheduled national holiday celebrations at “Deak” square and “Kodály-körönd” will be canceled tomorrow (March 15) due to the heavy snow fall and the blizzard that shut several parts of the country down.

Jobbik members and sympathizers across the country planned to come to the Budapest rally by cars and buses to pay tribute to the memory of the revolution of 1848. However, heavy snowfall made for treacherous driving conditions and tomorrow's forecast calls for strong winds as well.

We encourage all members and sympathizers of the party to attend their home town's memorial services rather than drive in heavy snow fall.

Jobbik leaders will lay a wreath at Batthyány memorial on the afternoon of March 15; the event will be attended by Jobbik President Gábor Vona as well; Jobbik invites members and sympathizers who live nearby to attend the wreath laying ceremony writes Jobbik Executive Director Gábor Szabó.
