Natasa Janics-Douchev's spokesman Dávid Farkas informed the Hungarian New Agency, MTI that the three-time Olympic champion kayaker has struck a deal with “Graboplast Győri Vízisport Egyesület” (Graboplast Győr Aquatic Sports Association) and she will sign the contract on April 10 as soon as she returns from the Portugal training camp.
"I am delighted that I can be a member of such a prestigious sport club, I thank to everyone who supported me in this deal... I trained a lot as a child in Győr and I have friends there. At present, I train 2-3 times a day, sometimes even four to get ready for the season” said the kayaker.
"I don't want to talk about the details of this agreement, but I can tell you that Natasa can train under the same conditions she had trained before the two former Olympics; she will work with the other two Olympic champions of the club, Zoltán Kammerer and Krisztina Fazekas-Zur" said Gusztáv Kadler, Győr-division club manager to MTI.
"We sign a new contract with Natasa until 2016, the Rio Olympics. During this period of time, Janics will habitually live in Győr, in other words, she will move here, and going to train here most of the year" said Kadler stressing that Győr city mayor Zsolt Borkai who is also the president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee also supported the club's decision to sign a contract with Janics.
