HVIM lays wreath at Katyn monument in Budapest

Monday, April 15, 2013

The Hungarian government and civilian organizations held a wreath laying ceremony on April 13 in Budapest to remember the Katyn massacre by Soviet secret police in 1940. However, government officials did everything possible to prevent the Seventy-four County Youth Movement (HVIM) to take part in the official ceremony. But, a delegation of the patriotic youth group showed up at the official event and despite police harassment, laid a wreath at the monument. Watch the video.
