48th European Senior Karate Championships begins on May 9 in Budapest "Jégpalota"

The final stages of preparation are under way for the first Hungarian hosted Karate European Championships.

The Hungarian Karate Association are expecting the cream of the sport to come to Budapest and compete at the tournament.

Members of the Hungarian kata team are preparing in their clubs, and those compete in sparring went to a training camp. Members of the Hungarian national team met in Szarvas in the Wellness Park Hotel Saturday afternoon where dr. János Mészáros, the president of the Hungarian Karate Association personally wished good luck to the athletes. He asked the team to fight the best of their knowledge, and win as much medals for Hungary as possible.
