Protesters drew attention to the importance of conservative values and praised the traditional family model, thus showing solidarity with the French protesters that rallied against gay marriage in Paris and other cities in the past couple of months.
The event has been attended by members of the Sixty-four County Youth Movement (HVIM) Jobbik Youth Wing, Jobbik MP Sylvia Bertha and Edda Budaházy, the sister of well-know Hungarian patriot György Budaházy. Organizers invited members of all political parties, except the globalist Socialist party, to attend the event but only Jobbik responded to the call.
In the same time, Polish sympathizers in Warsaw also staged a rally at the French embassy to show their solidarity with the opponents of gay marriage.
At the end of the rally a letter was handed over to French embassy staff addressed to President Francois Hollande and the Minister of Internal Affairs Manuel Valls in which protesters expressed their solidarity with those opposing gay marriage and declared their support for traditional family values.
