PM Viktor Orbán announced that Győrújfalu will be evacuated before nightfall due to high water pressure on the dikes reported MTI Friday evening shortly after 7 pm.
The prime minister stressed that this is a security measure. "The flood dike is still stable, but the water pressure on the dikes is so great that for security reasons we have chosen to evacuate Győrújfalu". According to the prime minister about two thousand people are affected by the measure.

Mayor Zsolt Borkai said that several parts of Győr were also endangered, but at present, there was no need for evacuation anywhere in the city.
