The President of the Republic of Hungary János Áder gave the Order of St. István Award to five time Olympic champion, and multiple European and world champion swimmer Krisztina Egerszegi on the national holiday on Tuesday in the Sándor Palace in Budapest.

Krisztina Egerszegi is one of the most successful Hungarian modern Olympic athletes in the history of the sport. During her career, she won 23 Olympic, World and European Championship medals, 16 of them gold.
