Political Capital Institute latest survey shows that 42% of Hungarian society believes that behind the scene forces run the country; 36% have the opposite opinion.
Those that believe in "conspiracy theories" are more likely to be found among men and among skilled workers and residents of rural towns. The percentage of those that believe that the Hungarian government is controlled by behind these forces are high among the unemployed as well says the survey.
The study found that among supporters of the various political parties the believers in the existence of a parasitical entity that controls the government varies. 68 percent of Jobbing voters firmly believe in the existence of a hidden force that controls the government, followed by LMP (52 percent), the Hungarian Socialist Party (49 percent), Fidesz (43 percent), and Együtt-2014 (32 percent).
According to Political Capital, there is an important difference between Fidesz and Jobbik voters; although Fidesz voters are also inclined to believe in conspiracy theories, but much less think that the government is part of the plot.
A big chunk of Fidesz supporters believe that the government runs the country, and is not under the control of this malevolent force; the "fight for freedom" (a Fidesz slogan) is about to fight against the colonial aspirations of this evil force.
Jobbik supporters on the other hand, inclined to think that "Hungary is governed by behind the scene forces," and members of the government are puppets of this hidden force.
The study found that nearly half of all party supporters (47 percent) agree with the statement that the government is not in control but no one knows who's pulling the strings in the background.
Among undecided voters, -- comparing to decided voters -- significantly less people believe in conspiracy theories (37 percent, which means that this segment of society represents the most dumb down section of Hungarian society ed.) says the study.
According to the survey, most of the respondents suspecting international financial oligarchs, and other foreign states being behind the conspiracy.
