Masked robber was captured after car chase

Saturday, August 3, 2013

Many months after a small store in the city of Pécs was robbed by a masked robber police finally caught up with the suspect – he was captured after a car chase. In the suspect's car police found the knife he used to rob the store and other items relating to the crime. Under the crushing weight of evidence the perpetrator confessed the crime.

The robbery took place in mid-February. As you can see in the security video the robber went straight to the cash register. The store owner didn't panic but grabbed a knife from the counter and held it in front of her then tried to gas spray the robber. The masked attacker grabbed the cash register and pulled towards the door, then he took about six thousand HUF out of it and scurried away.
