A special fan was waiting for the canoeing world champions at the Liszt Ferenc airport as the plane carrying team Hungary touched down on Monday in Budapest; he was none other than Olympic and world champion swimmer Daniel Gyurta (24) who came to the airport to congratulate to members of team Hungary for winning of seven gold, five silver and five bronze medals at 2013 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Duisburg, Germany last weekend.

After the World Cup and the Barcelona World Championships there is a break in my training schedule, which allowed me to come here and congratulate to members of team Hungary and especially, to my friend Attila Vajda and my UTE club-mate Danuta Kozák said Gyurta.

I won three gold medals, it was a fantastic week for me summed up her performance two-time Olympic and eight time world champion kayaker Danuta Kozak. I won two golds in Olympic events and I won the third one in the 200 relay, which was the icing on the cake.

I went to Duisburg to win two medals. I met my goal by winning a gold medal in an Olympic event (C-1 1000 m) said Vajda who was pleased to see Gyurta coming to greet him.
