Austrian photojournalist Erich Lessing: Photos of the 1956 revolution and war of independence

Austrian photojournalist Erich Lessing travelled to Hungary three times in 1956. He visited the most famous scenes of the revolution including the "Corvin köz", the "Nagykörút", and took dramatic pictures at the "Köztársaság tér" where there was intense fighting due to the fact that the headquarters of the Bolshevik death quad located in the area.
