European Champion swimmer Zsuzsanna Jakabos underwent shoulder surgery

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Zsuzsanna Jakabos had a shoulder surgery to correct a chronic arthritis that bothered her for many years said her coach Ivan Petrov.

"The cause of the inflammation was a small lesions in Jakabos' right shoulder that made the surgery unavoidable" said the coach.

Due to the operation Jakabos will have to skip the rest of the season.

"Within a few days she can make light moves to test her shoulder then she has to go through physiotherapy that will probably last for weeks. She will certainly go through a slow recovery process, but at least, we can be sure that she will completely recover said her coach Ivan Petrov adding that Jakabos is primarily preparing for the 2015 world Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
