Jesus Christ on reincarnation

...After birth, if the spirit of life grows and power comes and strengthens that soul, no one will be able to lead it stray with evil actions. But people upon whom the false spirit descends are misled by it and go astray.

I said, “Lord, where will their souls go when they leave their flesh?”

He laughed and said to me, “The soul in which there is more power than the contemptible spirit is strong. She escapes from evil, and through the intervention of the incorruptible one, she is saved and is taken up to eternal rest.”

I said, “Lord, where will the souls go of people who have not known to whom they belong?”

He said to me, “The contemptible spirit has grown stronger in such people while they were going astray. This spirit lays a heavy burden on the soul, leads her into evil deeds, and hurls her down into forgetfulness. After the soul leaves the body, she is handed over to the authorities who have come into being through the archon. They bind her with chains and throw her into prison [The soul is thrown into another body and thus is reincarnated]. They go around with her until she awakens from forgetfulness and acquires knowledge. This is how she attains perfection and is saved.”

First of all I am a first time writer here and I must say that I very much enjoy this site. It is very informative and every good hungarian should read it! But with the spiritualism here I can not agree with. These so called quotes from Jesus come from unreliable sources. Jesus taught the resurrection of the dead not reincarnation. Hinduism teaches reincarnation.

The notion of reincarnation is not exclusively a Hindu idea. The entire ancient world, before institutionalized Christianity, believed in that notion. In fact, reincarnation is the oldest known belief system in the history of mankind.

The Bible is a heavily censored and edited record of Jesus' teachings. Several accounts written by disciples other than the four included in the Bible have been destroyed or simply locked up from the view of ordinary mortals by the participants of the first ecumenical council of Nicaea. Christianity was hijacked at the First Council of Nicaea (AD 325) and since then a distorted version of Christianity has been thought all around the world.

The divine will however made sure that “there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”

In the 1950s in the small Egyptian village of “Nag Hammadi”, a shepherd boy by accident found a cave, which was a treasure house of ancient records including records based on the accounts of the disciples of Jesus other than the four included in the Bible.

Unfortunately, the scriptures, which have been published in English under the title “Nag Hammadi Scriptures” are not available in Hungarian. I wonder why?

There are plenty of proof indicating that Ancient Hungarians were the followers of this early, uncorrupted version of Christianity. This might explain why the original belief and everything related to it (for instance, the ancient Hungarian Rovas script) were so viciously persecuted by foreign missionaries that invaded the country after the coronation of Saint Istvan the first Hungarian “Christian” king.

My friend Jesus said that "I am the resurrection and the life.He who believes in me will live even though he dies and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (John 11:25-26) Saying that he believes in reincarnation contradicts what he taught and teaches us something different than Christianity. Jesus never contracts Himself
