New opportunities in Hungarian-Russian bilateral trade

Jobbik MEP Béla Kovács the co-chairman of Russia - EU Energy Interparliamentary Working Group visited Kamchatka last week.

The Russian co-chairman of the organization Ivan Grashov who is the chairman of the Duma Committee for Energy as well, emphasized that the single energy region does not end at the Ural mountains, but includes the Asia-Pacific region as well, which enjoys development priority both now and in the near future.

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced earlier a program under which the priority development of Siberia and its border regions have already started.

The Russian side praised the work of Béla Kovács for his efforts to expand the scope of the organization; later, Kamchatka Governor held talks with the Jobbik politician discussing among others bilateral and economic issues.

The Russian side interested in opportunities in developing joint energy cooperation projects with Hungary; the Russian hosts also showed interests in acquiring Hungarian agricultural technology and products.
