Immune enhancement exercise in a Siberian kindergarten

Friday, December 20, 2013

One Siberian kindergarten developed a specific way of enhancing children's immune system. In 10 to 15 degrees below zero temperature, preschoolers are stripped to underwear and sprinkled cold water over them; then, the kids run into a warm building they warm up a bit and the cold bath procedure repeated one more time.

According to the Krasnoyarsk kindergarten No. 317, the process is completely safe and will not damage kids' health; as a result, they remain virus free throughout the season. Before the exercise, children receive a medical examination by doctors. The cold bath method was introduced into the kindergarten 13 years ago and the majority of parents have no objection against it.
