Jobbik launched traditional Advent-Cross erection mission

Jobbik launched its traditional Advent-Cross erection campaign on Saturday to remind the morally bankrupt masses that Christmas season is not about shopping.

Christmas is the most perverted Christian holiday in the world today said Jobbik vice-President Előd Novák. The main purpose of erecting crosses in public places is to remind the masses that the season is not about shopping and urge them to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday. Jobbik cross erection mission can also be looked at as a protest against the moral corruption of the people by consumer society said the Jobbik politician.

The message of Christmas is: "God is with us" (Matthew 1:23), which should be the theme of everyday life too; symbolically speaking, the cross can't belong to the church alone. In the spirit of this message, we proposed the introduction of the subject of morality in public schools and urged the government to recognize church weddings as legal proceedings; we don't want to end up like the first prime minister of the transition period József Antall who said on his deathbed, “I wanted to build a Christian Hungary, but my government didn't reflect that”.

The cross erection campaign also serves a patriotic ambition: we erect apostolic double crosses, which is a symbol included in the Hungarian coat of arms. One of the main cohesive forces in society is healthy nationalism and patriotism said Előd Novák.
