Customs Union representatives -- Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan -- started negotiations with New Zealand and other non-EU member states about the creation of a free trade zone said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today in an interview with TV reporters.
"The Customs Union's door is open to any state that is ready to sign all relevant documents, the ones that accompany the creation of a single economic space" said the Russian foreign minister.
Lavrov also remarked that even those countries can join the Customs Union that are not border Russia; this is a huge market, and the common borders do not count."
