Morvai said the presidency of the Jobbik party has asked me to lead the party's electoral list in the EP election in May because the party has been satisfied with the work I have done so far representing the party. She added that she leads the electoral list without being a member of the Jobbik party. She emphasized that she continues to work as an independent in the European Parliament, and has no intention to join any fraction of the assembly.
Answering to a question Morvai remarked that the Jobbik party made this early announcement about her candidacy in order to dismiss rumors surfaced up in the media about alleged conflicts between herself and the leadership of the party.
Replying to a question Jobbik President Gábor Vona confirmed that discussions are under way between Jobbik and the Polish National Movement (Ruch Narodowy) about coordinating the two parties' EP election campaign. That we are cooperating is certain only the exact details of cooperation still needs to be worked out said Vona.
