One of China's richest men, Chen Guanbiao announced that he planed to purchase The New York Times; negotiations with the owners of the media company will start very soon.

Commenting on the announcement of the current owners of the paper that it was not up for sale Guanbiao said: "Everything can be purchased, if the right price is offered."
