Russia has made secret archives available to Hungarian researchers

Hungarian delegation visited a Russian military archive for the first time informed the Ministry of Defence the Hungarian News Agency MTI.

Ministry official László Töll said by researching Soviet military documents historians could bring many new information to light that have been unknown to researchers until now about the First and Second World War.

Before, Hungarian researchers have not been allowed to study and explore the millions of documents held in Russian military archives. Ministry officials hoping that researchers find answers to a number of intriguing questions that still puzzle historians.
