Pushkov: Nobody calling on Ukraine to join the EU

Sunday, February 2, 2014

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the State Duma, Alexei Pushkov believes that the European Union pushing Ukraine with "the colonizers' stubborn aggressiveness to sign an association agreement with the organization."

"In the past, China and many puppet states were enticed into signing such agreements with the European Union" writes Pushkov on Twitter.

According to the representative of the Russian parliament "those that demonstrate on Independence Square, unfortunately, do not distinguish between association and accession agreements."

"No one ever called and will never call Ukraine to join the European Union. The whole of Europe is opposed to that," he added.

Earlier, Pushkov also wrote on Twitter that the relationship between Russia and the EU reached a dead end; there is only one way out of this situation if the EU's leadership gets renewed.
