Anita, the gypsy woman who is in love with Jobbik President Gábor Vona

Thursday, April 10, 2014

Thirty-three year old Anita lives in Enying with her two kids and her husband. The Jobbik party performed especially well in the last Sunday's parliamentary elections in this municipality.

Anita was six months old when she was adopted by a non-Roma family. When she was asked how come that despite her ethnic background she supported Jobbik she replied "Because I hate Gypsies".

In general, people vote for Jobbik because they don't like gypsies. If Jobbik wins the election for sure it will restore law and order in the country explained Anita. I would round up all gypsies and deport them to their own country" said the young mother.

In Enying "I am the only gypsy supporter of Jobbik". She took part in the election campaign as well by handing out leaflets, but she was also very active on Facebook campaigning for Jobbik. I get messages like "Another Gypsy supporter of Jobbik," but I get hate mails as well.

Anita is a big fan of Jobbik President Gábor Vona; the Jobbik president's dedicate picture is hanging on her bedroom wall. "I'm a secret admirer of Gábor Vona, he is so handsome".

My husband is also Jobbik supporter, so we are on the same wavelength politically speaking, which is very important for a harmonious relationship explained Anita.

I suspect that quite a few are -- those who have broken out of the stranglehold of their kin, and live their lives in the Hungarian mainstream. Escape seems to be difficult, though. Facilitating it would be real contribution to the 'integration' about which the EU never stops bleating. Imagine the EUSSR rage and retribution, though, should we make one facilitating move!
