Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang congratulates PM Viktor Orbán on historic election victory

Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán talked one other by telephone on Wednesday said high commissioner for relations with China Peter Szijjártó.

The Chinese prime minister congratulated Viktor Orbán and the Fidesz - Christian Democratic party on victory in the parliamentary election. PM Viktor Orbán thanked his Chinese counterpart for supporting Hungarian-Chinese economic cooperation and for the decision the Chinese government has taken recently improving bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The two Prime Ministers also reviewed the progress of the Beijing Summit agreements including the Budapest-Belgrade railway line reconstruction.

The two prime ministers agreed that Hungary will continue to play an important role in China-EU relations in the future said the commissioner.

It is of particular importance that the two Prime Ministers have consulted with each other in such a short time after the Beijing summit and after Prime Minister Viktor Orban's election victory said Szijjártó.
