Ukrainian presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko canceled her U.S. trip because members of the U.S. Congress refused to meet her. The trip was planned on April 23.

Most probably U.S. strategists have different plans for Ukraine and the belligerent leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" political party has no place in those plans as she recently issued irrational statements relating to the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.

In a leaked telephone conversation with former deputy secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, Nestor Shufrych by using salty language Tymoshenko said things like "...we should take up arms and kill the goddamned katsaps" -- derogatory Ukrainian slang for Russians -- "along with their leader."

When she was asked what Kiev should do about the 8 million Russians still living on Ukrainian territory she said "We should hit them with an atomic weapon".

According to the U.S. media, some representatives with whom Tymoshenko wanted to meet personally indicated that they didn't want her to run for president.

Last week, Tymoshenko sent a request to the U.S. Congress asking for military assistance to Ukraine.
