One of Europe largest musical fountains reopenes after winter break on Margaret Island

A synchronized water and light show accompanied with music of all varieties rebuilt and expanded last year; each hour show features a different theme offering different varieties of music performances to music lovers.

The shows include child music performances like "Vuk song" by Kati Wolf, "Miki manó" by "the 100 Folk Celsius", "Mici mackó" by Zsuzsa Koncz and Napoleon Boulevard – "Be good if you can".

The classical music repertoire include "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi, "Hungarian dance" by Brahms, "Blue Danube waltz" by Strauss and "The 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody" by Liszt.

The pop music section includes among others Simon & Garfunkel - Cecilia, the Rolling Stones - Let Me Down Slow, and Rebeca Ferguson - I Hope.

The fountain start playing music at 11 o'clock in the morning, and finishes at 9.30 pm.

The fountain, 35 meters in diameter and containing approximately 400 cubic meters of water; it has more than 1,000 square meters of surface water, which is one of the largest in Europe. The fountain shoots up 10 - meter high jets of water and it is lighted by 250 energy - efficient LED lights.
