EU parliament elections end in Hungary with record low turnout

Sunday, May 25, 2014

After 99% of ballots counted (which is pretty much the final result) Fidesz received 51.49% of the vote, followed by Jobbik with 14.68%, the Socialist party 10.92%, the Democratic Coalition 9.76, Egyutt-PM 7.22% and the LMP 5.01%.

Early reporting

According to preliminary results, Jobbik received the second most votes in the Sunday's EU parliament elections, well ahead of the Socialist party, in other words, Jobbik has become the second force in the country.

According to “Magyar Nemzet”, Fidesz - Christian Democratic party received 53.47 percent of the Votes on the basis of the preliminary results followed by Jobbik with 15.1 %, the Socialist party 11 %, the Gyurcsany led Democratic Coalition 9 %, and the Együtt-PM 6.1 %.

At 6:30 pm, just before the polling stations closed down only 27% of eligible voters bothered to vote in the Sunday's EU parliament elections; the low voters turnout indicate that the overwhelming majority of the Hungarian people understand that it makes no difference who goes to Brussels as the country has no control over its own affairs as it is managed from Brussels.

Former Czech president Vaclav Klaus accurately summed up the situation by saying: The EP elections are unnecessary because they do not give a true democratic legitimacy to the European Parliament because of the low voter turnout. "A low voter turnout is proof that more and more people are aware that controlling Europe from a single center is a mistake".

The former president also said that 25 years after the fall of communism it was the first time that he had difficult to bring himself to cast his vote; he also remarked that didn't even bother to read the programs of the various parties.

According to, socialist politicians went into hiding, preparing for historic defeat

Journalists were told that they wouldn't be seeing any of them in the corridors or anywhere in the party headquarters before 11 pm when the official result of the vote will be announced.

According to sources, party chief Attila Mesterházy is also in the building, but he arrived by avoiding the press.

Journalists spotted one party politician weeping.

it's true what the writer of this piece and Vaclav Klaus stated! These elections are a lie and Brussel is in control of our country more and more! How much of our laws are made in Brussel? Most of it these days. Yes, Hungary is again a colony... sad but true! In politics and history, a colony is a territory under the immediate political control of a state (or polirical organisation like the EU), distinct from the home territory of the sovereign.

European Parliament Elections: Major Losses for Ruling Parties and Gains for Anti-EU Parties

The Resistance Movement in Europe against Austerity

European Parliament Elections: Old Continent Turning Right

...The election will go down in history as a stunning gain for Eurosceptics – the far-right demanding to curtail immigration flows, restore national boundaries and return the sovereignty of state. They want to leave the eurozone and adopt independent economic policy.
...The turn for the right in many EU member states reflects the rejection of globalist policy aimed at elimination of European traditional values related to the Christian faith, family and national homeland…
The protection of gays’ rights has become a priority for all human rights institutions in Europe. It implies the destruction of traditional way of life, rejection of the historic heritage; it facilitates the process of personal degradation and leads to the annihilation of humanity as it is. In the schools of Germany and Norway little children are taught that homosexual relationship is a natural thing, they have opened a BDSM public house in Hamburg, a special brothel in Hessen for sodomites who prefer sex with animals, in the Netherlands they have legalized the Party for Neighbourly Love, Freedom and Diversity or the Charity, commonly known as "pedopartij" ("pedo party") in the media. They delete words father and mother in identification papers in favor of the terms parent 1 and parent 2. What is left of human self-esteem in the contemporary Europe? As the continent downgrades, it evokes indignation among morally healthy Europeans making them support right wing parties and died-in-the-wool conservatives.

The face of the EU has been constructed by the unsavory mugshots of Schultz, Borrosso, Kroes, Redig and Cohn-Bendit. (Sorry if I missed a few.) It really is amazing that it has not come undone completely . .. yet. But we can hope.

Interview with Marine Le Pen: 'I Don't Want this European Soviet Union'

...Le Pen: The French want to regain control of their own country. They want to determine the course of their own economy and their immigration policies. They want their own laws to take precedence over those of the European Union. The French have understood that the EU does not live up to the utopia they were sold. It has distanced itself significantly from a democratic mode of operation.
... Le Pen: I want to destroy the EU, not Europe! I believe in a Europe of nation-states. I believe in Airbus and Ariane, in a Europe based on cooperation. But I don't want this European Soviet Union.
...Le Pen: No. Europe is war. Economic war. It is the increase of hostilities between the countries. Germans are denigrated as being cruel, the Greeks as fraudsters, the French as lazy. Ms. Merkel can't travel to any European country without being protected by hundreds of police. That is not brotherhood.
...Le Pen: And why not? The EU is deeply harmful, it is an anti-democratic monster. I want to prevent it from becoming fatter, from continuing to breathe, from grabbing everything with its paws and from extending its tentacles into all areas of our legislation. In our glorious history, millions have died to ensure that our country remains free. Today, we are simply allowing our right to self-determination to be stolen from us.
...Le Pen: There's no doubt that the model we are advocating is less positive for Germany than the current model. Germany has become the economic heart of Europe because our leaders are weak. But Germany should never forget that France is Europe's political heart. What is happening here today foreshadows what will happen in the rest of Europe in the coming years: the great return of the nation-state, which they wanted to obliterate.
...Le Pen: It is undeniable that the French were in a better situation then than they are today. I don't look in the rearview mirror. But there was no need for us to experience an end to social progress since then. It makes no sense that we took on 10 million foreigners within a period of 30 years.
...Le Pen: I'm not talking about autarky. I'm not crazy. We need an intelligent protectionism. We need customs duties again -- though not for countries that have the same social (security) levels as we do. That's fair competition. The problem is the total opening of borders and allowing the law of the jungle to prevail: The further a company goes today to find slaves, which it then treats like animals and pays a pittance, without regard for environmental laws, the more it earns...
Le Pen: The Americans are trying to expand their influence in the world, particularly in Europe. They are defending their own interests, not ours. I am in favor of a multi-polar world in which France once again takes its position as the leader of non-aligned states, not with the US, not with Russia and not with Germany. One should strive to be neither slave nor master.
