Midigma Dorzhieva concert is planned at this year's Kurultaj

Sunday, June 8, 2014

One of the main attractions of this year's Kurultaj - the Tribal Assembly of kindred nations - will be Buryat singer-songwriter Midigma Dorzhieva concert that she dedicates to the memory of our common ancestors.

Midigma Dorzhieva lives in Ulan Ude, the Buryat Republic, which is an Autonomous Republic near lake Baikal in Russia. The singer is a well-know pop star in her home country. Her music is inspired by Buryat history and culture. She performs in English, Russian and Buryat languages making her songs known even in Mongolia because the Buryat language belongs to the Altaic language group of north-Mongolian.

Midigma is an admirer of the Hun history and culture as well.

This won't be the first time Madigma attends Kurultaj. The Buryat singer already attended Kurultaj in 2012 as a special guest of the Hungarian Turan Foundation.
