According to the foremost political scientist, he was removed from the university for political reasons, because certain circles did't like his views on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Apparently, in an early May interview, shortly after the Odessa massacre Alexander Dugin called for the elimination of Ukrainian nationalists. After the interview, a signature-collecting campaign was launched by assets don't like his views on the conflict demanding his removal from the leading university of Russia.
Aleksandr Dugin is one of today's most well-known representatives of the Eurasian historical / geopolitical school in Russia.
A few hours after the news release the university denied the rumor by saying that the report was without foundation.
